Demonstrated to be faster, more scalable, and with lower publish latency than competing projects such as Kafka, Pulsar is the modern decentralized and segmented messaging system capable of supplanting less efficient (and more expensive to manage) multi-system approaches. Instead of deploying MQTT for a traditional 1:1 mapping of client message queues, and then Kafka for event-streaming, consider evaluating a more advanced and performant platform like Pulsar. SigmaX offers both on-prem and Cloud versions of Apache Pulsar, extending it to include silicon-accelerated “data functions” for common data engineering tasks. Our implementation of Pulsar is ready-to-run with end-to-end FIPS 140-2 encryption and tiered acceleration for high-demand data.
